dc.description.abstract Storage of electricity is one of the most spectacular and sensitive areas that stimulate the development of equipment and conversion technologies, storage being an exclusive condition for competitive and efficient use of energy sources, especially renewable ones. The inclusion of hydrogen in the top global energy resources is discussed for a hundred years and so far has not been found any solution which would prove a positive energy balance. Hydrogen power units can be built in the immediate vicinity of the center of the consumer zones or in the territory of enterprises. In this paper an attempt is made to assess the possibility of introducing hydrogen into the energy balance as intermediary element, which would enhance the efficiency of power system operation and not as a source of energy. en_US
