dc.description.abstract | The research carried out aimed to monitor the presence of types of bacteria at risk of causing zoonotic diseases in humans, transmitted through the meat of poultry and agricultural animals. The samples of the researched material were taken from pigs, sheep, horses and poultry that were saled in the agricultural markets of Chisinau municipality. Bacteriological investigations, including serotypization of bacteria that were isolated from meat, have shown that bacteria of the genus Salmonella spp., Listeria, Staphylococcus aureus, E. coli were isolated from different animal species. The most frequent presence of bacteria of the genus Salmonella spp. were predominated in the carcasses of birds and pigs, and the Listeria types in the samples taken from the carcasses of sheep and horses. The presence of a high percentage of contamination with the types of isolated bacteria denotes the need for multilateral monitoring in conjunction with the establishment of the critical points in detecting the source of contamination. | en_US |
