Medical Devices Management Strategy in the Republic of Moldova

Abstract

Advanced medical devices are an indispensable part of medical care in the processes of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases. Using them effectively requires, as a priority, increasing the number of investigations for cost-effective and quality treatment. "Management of Medical Devices for a 2015-2020 period" Strategy aim is to enhance quality of care through improving of medical device management, providing a high level of safety and performance of medical devices in medical institutions, to facilitate the development of a functional and efficient management of medical device in Republic Moldova. The expected result from implementation of the Strategy is providing quality of medical devices and optimizing the use of public funds by way proposed by a rational and efficient management.
