Abstract

Aspects of the constructive-linear evolution of the shapes of the women’s costume. The shape of the costume always represents a dynamic system of interaction between its elements. The organizing principle of the form can be traced by studying its structure. Each element used in the costume composition solving, brings a significant contribution to the final result. Generally, the modeling of the costume shape can be achieved by different means – technological, constructive methods or both of them combined. Namely, constructive methods involve projection of different types of line on the surface of the shape. This research paper addresses the problem of determining the constructive – decorative role of the line in the process of creatingwomen’s costume. Starting from the idea that creation is improving in history, it was necessary to study the evolution of the shape of the costume and also analyze the role of the constructive - decorative line during this process.
