Abstract:
The lack of Medical Device Management, which includes all actions necessary to ensure an effective use of medical devices: needs assessment, planning of procurement, procurement, maintenance, and replacement of medical devices – is a reduction in the quality of health services. The medical institutions have not necessary capacities and means for maintenance and repair of medical devices from endowment, as the staff as well the suitable devices for testing and calibration. The services provided by private companies, in the absence of a transparent competition, are low quality, the preventive maintenance is shallow, the run-time is great and have a very high cost.
