Abstract:
Animal husbandry constitutes one of the main branches of national agriculture, the production of which, supplies about 30% of the agriculture GDP value. The animal husbandry branch is concerned with raising animals with the purpose of obtaining food production (dairy products, meat products, eggs, honey) and raw materials (wool, skins, feathers, silk, etc.) for the processing industry.
Currently, in Republic of Moldova, due to low capacity of animal husbandry branch product processing and failure in implementing every quality standard by Moldovan enterprises, livestock export prevails, which provides insignificant income for the entities from animal husbandry branch, while export costs are quite significant. In order to obtain these quality standards, constant development in animal husbandry branch is required, using effective management, qualitative animal husbandry product processing, enterprise development, equipment upgrade and also systematic targeted branch personnel qualification.
