Abstract:
The analysis of book illustrations involves a classification of images and subjects reflected through them. Studying the editions of story books, we notice that they have a special history of classification and editing in various forms and editorial series. In order to observe certain legitimacies of the evolution of the factors influencing the principles of book illustration, we aim to highlight some historical and artistic landmarks, useful in further studies in the field. Our hypothesis consists in the process of overlapping the strictly artistic typological principles with those in literary theory. The present study aims to quest and checking possible solutions to create the typological principles of analysis of illustrations for stories.
