dc.description.abstract The present paper approaches the research results of a new technique for drinking water plants – sonic settling tank. There were determined the optimal operating parameters of the settling tank and sonic generator. It was also determined the water turbidity values of the water passed through experimental settling tank in terms of the depth at which the generator is immersed, and the operating time. It was experimental proved the sonic settling tank efficiency and reliability compared with the classical one, that is used technological process of raw water treatment for obtaining drinking water. en
