dc.description.abstract	We propose a method to determine the specific heat of liquids and solids, which involves the heating of the substance under investigation in an electrical calorimeter and collecting data points using a digital thermometer interfaced with a computer. The software enables data transfer from the digital thermometer to the computer, processing it using the Least- Squares Method to determine the specific heat of the studied substance and concluding with report of this laboratory workshop.	en_US
