Abstract

Over the last years the watermelon yield suffers losses at early stages. Many diseases decrease the plants density. An early production is possible to be grown only in tunnels and other protected arias. The farmers who grow late production are not competitive on the market. In order to obtain earlier production farmers start growing grafted nursery transplants. In this investigation we studied the influence of different methods of watermelon grafting on the rootstock Macis F1 on the transplants quality and percentage of live plants after grafting
