dc.description.abstract The Republic of Moldova is a very vulnerable state to external factors, due to its geographical position, global or regional crises, and pandemic are challenges that are difficult to manage. Thus, the need to integrate the Republic of Moldova into the EU is obvious, a fact that would stabilize the political-economic situation, would create prospects for sustainable development. However, integration implies, in addition to rights and benefits, the assumption of certain responsibilities, such as the adoption of the acquis community, the harmonization of legislation, including the implementation of circular economy policies. At the same time, we must note that the Republic of Moldova annually generates an enormous amount of waste, which has a negative impact on the nature and quality of life. Therefore, the remodeling of the economy of the Republic of Moldova according to the principles of the circular economy would also bring direct benefits. Waste in the economy of the Republic of Moldova is largely generated by the agricultural and some industrial sectors. Thus, a set of institutional regulatory measures are needed, a fact that would allow the circular transformation to be achieved. The Republic of Moldova is only at the beginning of this transition and it is necessary to develop a strategy that would include a holistic approach and efficient use of resources. en_US
