dc.description.abstract The results of long time investigations of the genetics and breeding of amylopectinous maize in field experiments demonstrated the possibility to create the new inbred lines with higher combining ability and competitive hybrids ofwaxy-1 maize in order to improve the production and quality of starch ingrains. The initial material collection for maize breeding included more than 160 inbred lines. The new highly productive amylopectinous maize hybrid- Chisinau 403 wx1 - wasregionalized in the Republic of Moldova since 2011, and it is broadly characterized by its important traits. en_US
