Abstract:
The author proposes a general description of the reuse of the elements from mixed steel-concrete superstructure of the road bridges in operation. For bridge rehabilitation or reconstruction works, in-depth research of the de facto capabilities of resistance structures is sometimes minimized, often limited to visual examinations or some non-destructive or destructive testing, but without the testing of bridges, because of its expensive costs. A case study is presented by determining the calculation of endurance and load-bearing capacity of the limit states according to Eurocode requirements. In the paper are estimated consolidating solutions of mixed superstructures, the increasing of the load bearing capacity at dynamic stresses.
